    YOUR ITINERARY:

    This is a proposed group itinerary. We would love to offer this to your group and we can customize the itinerary to suit as needed. This is just an example of what we can provide to you and your clients.

    Day 1 | Arrive Portugal

    Morning arrival into Porto Airport. Transfer from Porto Airport to your hotel in Porto (rooms will not be ready until the afternoon, but the hotel will hold your luggage). Lunch on your own.

    Check-in at your hotel and free time to walk to discover the highlights of the northern capital of Portugal, whose historic district is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    At 6:00 pm, we depart for a new attraction in Porto, the World of Wine district (WOW). WOW is an immense new cultural district where everyone is welcome. In the historic heart of Vila Nova de Gaia, within walking distance of downtown Porto and the Douro River, WOW pays tribute to the culture, history, and major industries of Portugal.

    6:30 pm: Visit to The Wine Experience - The Wine Experience

    8:00pm: Dinner at T&C Restaurant (a restaurant dedicated to Portuguese gastronomy)

    Day 2 | Porto - Douro Valley

    Enjoy breakfast at our hotel. After breakfast departure visit the Douro Valley. Proceed, departure by bus from Porto to Douro region, in the direction to Amarante. Amarante is a picturesque town located in northern Portugal, set against the scenic backdrop of the Tâmega River. Known for its charming historic center, Amarante boasts well-preserved architecture, including the São Gonçalo Bridge, an iconic landmark spanning the river. The town is characterized by narrow cobbled streets, traditional houses, and a tranquil atmosphere. Visitors can explore historic churches, such as the São Gonçalo Church, and enjoy the local cuisine in charming cafes and restaurants.  

    Continuation to Pinhão, a charming village wedged between the Douro and its tributary. Its railway station is well worth a visit for its superb tiles. Lunch in typical restaurant on the way to Pinhão.

    After lunch we proceed to the Pinhão quay, where a Rabelo boat will be waiting for the guests for a regular cruise of about 50m.

    Then proceed to a wine tasting at a “Quinta”, of one of the most distinguished Port houses. We return to Porto by bus. Overnight in Porto.

    Day 3 | Porto

    After breakfast at our hotel, we depart by bus on a guided tour through Porto. Porto City Tour (half-day visit) is a guided tour to explore this beautiful city on the Douro riverbanks: Visit Porto's cathedral, the neoclassical stock exchange Palace, and the lovely São Bento train station. Cross the Douro River to Vila Nova de Gaia, where we will visit a Porto wine cellar and sample the rich flavors of this incredible wine. Visit & Wine Tasting at Porto Calem winery. 

    We enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant in the Cais de Ribeira quarter. After lunch, depart to discover Porto from another perspective, a cruise along the river is ideal...on a typical "rabelo" boat, for a cruise of 50 minutes (regular tour) along the Douro River and passing by its 6 bridges. Return to the hotel. The evening is free at your leisure to enjoy dinner on your own tonight. Overnight Port.

    Day 4 | Port - Coimbra - Évora

    After breakfast, we check out of our hotel. Departure for southern Portugal. Stop at Coimbra. This charming city is home to the oldest university on the peninsula after Salamanca (entrance to the University of Coimbra not included). Many poets, inspired by the romanticism of this city, have immortalized the charm of Portugal's first capital, contributing to making it a city of arts and letters. Lunch is on our own today in the historical city center. 

    After lunch, departure to Évora, which is the Capital of the Alentejo province, also known as the “City Museum” and UNESCO considers it as “World Heritage”. Walk through the streets passing by some of the most important cultural points of the city. Check in to our hotel with the balance of the day at our leisure with dinner on our own tonight. Overnight in Évora.

    Day 5 | Évora – Estremoz

    After breakfast, departure by bus to Estremoz to discover the region and visit, cooking lesson, and lunch at a well-know winery. Designed in accordance with the traditional architecture of the Alentejo region, this winery offers a visit to the vineyards, the winery, and cellars, where the vinification process is explained to the visitors. The guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a wine tasting accompanied by regional cheeses and followed by a typical Alentejo lunch.

    Return to the hotel. Dinner at leisure.

    Day 6 | Évora – Lisbon

    After breakfast at our hotel, we depart by bus to Lisbon. On arrival, check into our hotel, with lunch on your own. In the afternoon, we enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Lisbon. See all of this beautiful city's best spots, including the Belém quarter with its famous Belem Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery (entrance with headsets), and the Alfama and Rossio quarters. Return to the hotel, with the balance of the day free for you to enjoy. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight in Lisbon.

    Day 7 | Lisbon - Sintra

    Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, depart by bus to Sintra. Sintra, small village built against the northern slope of the Serra de Sintra Mountains. Sintra is well known for its charming narrow roads enveloped in lush greenery, its climbing flowers and semi-tropical vine-like plants trailing from mossy walls and balconies. In Sintra, we will visit the National Sintra Palace, distinguished by its conical twin kitchen chimneys (entrance with heasets). Lunch on your own in the historical city center.

    Continuation to the coast to Cape Roca – the westernmost point of Continental Europe, where the land ends and the sea begins. Time allowed for lunch on your own at Guincho, to enjoy fish and shellfish dishes at local restaurants. Return to Lisbon by the coast passing by Cascais, a lovely city by the sea, and Estoril, well known for its Casino. Dinner on your own this evening. Overnight in Lisbon.

    Day 8 | Lisbon – Óbidos – Nazaré – Fatima – Lisbon

    Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, check out and depart by bus to the center of Portugal. We reach Óbidos, a medieval township with an authentic museum, carefully preserved, surrounded by high walls, winding streets, and white flowers at windows. Walking visit including a brief stop in a small typical bar and taste the famous “Ginginha” (a traditional cherry flavor liqueur, very typical in this region). Proceed to Nazaré, an attractive and picturesque town, closely linked to the Blue Ocean, with busy narrow streets where we can find the fishermen and women wearing typical multicolored costumes. Lunch in a local restaurant (included). After lunch proceed to Fatima and visit one the most famous pilgrimage centers for Catholic people. Return to Lisbon with dinner on your own. Overnight in Lisbon.

    After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and transfer to Lisbon Airport for your return flight home.
