Day 1 | Arrival - Rome

Welcome to Rome, the Eternal City! Upon arrival at Fiumicino airport, transfer to Rome and our Rome Hotel. In the afternoon, after checked-in, meet your Tour Manager at the Hotel lobby for a welcome introduction and short briefing of the program. In the evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner at the hotel—an ideal occasion to get acquainted and set the tone for the journey ahead. (D)

Day 2 | Rome to Tuscany with a stop in Orvieto

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel in Rome, and we depart for Tuscany. On the way, enjoy a scenic stop in the charming hilltop town of Orvieto (approx. 2h by bus from Rome) known for its striking cathedral and medieval streets. We stop for about 2-hours, with free time to explore at your own pace, accompanied by the tour manager. Take this opportunity to wander through the historic center, admire the stunning views, and enjoy lunch on your own. In the afternoon, continue our journey to Hotel Villa Casagrande (approx. 2-hours by bus), a beautiful and relaxing retreat nestled in the Tuscan countryside. After check in and time to settle-in, meet the Tour Manager for a brief orientation and introduction of the charming town of Figline Valdarno The rest of the evening is at your leisure to relax and enjoy your first taste of Tuscan life. Day 3 | Full day Florence by rail from the Villa

After breakfast at Villa Casagrande, walk with your tour leader to Figline Station (15 minutes) and board a regional train bound for Florence, one of the most iconic cities in Italy and the birthplace of the Renaissance. Upon arrival at the station your guide will greet you for a guided walking tour (3-hours) through the heart of the historic center, where every corner reveals masterpieces of art and architecture—Brunelleschi’s Dome, Piazza della Signoria, the Ponte Vecchio, and more.

Later, take part in a special visit to a traditional artisan leather outlet, where you'll witness a brief demonstration (approx. 15 minutes) of centuries-old leatherworking techniques—an art form Florence is world-famous for. This visit is complimentary and offers insight into the city’s rich legacy of craftsmanship. The remainder of the day is yours to explore at your own pace: stroll through Florence’s lively streets, shop for unique souvenirs, dine at a local trattoria, or visit one of the many renowned museums and galleries, such as the Uffizi or the Accademia. (admissions not included).

In the late afternoon, walk back to Florence station and return by train to Figline at your own pace. Dinner is on your own this evening. (B)

Day 4 | Pasta making class at the Villa

Enjoy a relaxing day at your own pace in the serene surroundings of Villa Casagrande. Whether you choose to unwind by the pool, explore the beautiful gardens, or simply soak in the stunning Tuscan countryside views, this day is all about you.

In the afternoon let’s join a Pasta Class at Villa Casagrande. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to dive into a delicious hands-on experience! Learn the secrets of crafting authentic Tuscan pasta from scratch. Laugh, knead, and shape your way to pasta perfection under the guidance of our expert chef — no prior cooking skills required! From mixing the dough to mastering the perfect cut, this class is as much fun as it is tasty. Plus, you get to enjoy your homemade creation paired with a glass of local wine. It’s the ultimate recipe for a memorable—and mouthwatering—Tuscan afternoon!

Day 5 | Full day excursion to Venice

This morning get-ready for a Venetian adventure! Your driver will pick-you up at the Villa and drive to Tronchetto area (Venice). Upon arrival take a ferry to Cornoldi dock (15 minutes walking to St Mark square). A private guide will join you for 2-hour guided walking tour, strolling through narrow cobblestone streets and picturesque squares.

Discover iconic landmarks like St. Mark’s Square with its magnificent Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the most iconic symbols of the city’s political power and grandeur and the Bridge of Sighs, while your expert guide shares captivating stories about Venice’s rich history, art, and culture. Explore charming hidden alleys, artisan shops, and vibrant markets that reveal the city’s authentic spirit beyond the usual tourist paths. (note admissions not included). 

The tour will end with a classic 30-minute gondola ride, gliding along serene canals and under historic bridges, soaking in the timeless atmosphere of this unique city.

The afternoon is yours to explore Venice at leisure, enjoy lunch at a canal-side café, or visit one of the city’s world-famous museums. Later, return by ferry to Tronchetto, then board your transfer back to Figline Valdarno. This evening, experience the authentic flavors of Tuscany with a traditional dinner at the charming Villa Casagrande. Overnight at the Villa. (B, D)

Day 6 | San Gimignano - Olive Oil & Wine Tasting with lunch at a winery

After breakfast, depart for the hilltop UNESCO World Heritage town of San Gimignano, famous for its medieval towers, cobblestone streets, and breathtaking views. Explore the town's charming shops, snap photos of its iconic skyline, and don't miss the chance to taste one of Italy's most award-winning gelatos; yes, it's totally worth the hype!

After soaking up the local charm, continue to a special Tuscan Winery, where a warm welcome awaits. Indulge in a guided wine tasting featuring locally produced wines and sample extra virgin olive oil and truffle oil straight from the source. A lunch of regional specialties will be served, perfectly paired with the estate's best vintages. Return to Villa Casagrande in the afternoon and overnight. (B, L)

Day 7 | Tuscany to Rome with stop in Montepulciano

This morning check-out from Hotel Villa Casagrande and return to Rome. Along the way, make a scenic stop in Montepulciano, a charming hilltop town in southern Tuscany, known for its Renaissance architecture, winding streets, and world-famous wines. (Approx. 2 hours by bus) Enjoy free time to explore the town, browse local shops, and have lunch at your leisure, with your Tour Manager available for suggestions and company. In the early afternoon continue our drive to Rome, arriving at our hotel later in the day. After check-in, the evening is yours to relax and overnight. (B)

Day 8 | Ancient Rome and Farewell Dinner

Today, depart from our hotel in Rome, embark on a fascinating half-day 4-hour excursion exploring the timeless wonders of Ancient Rome with your private English-speaking guide.  This walking tour will take you through iconic historic sites and hidden gems, offering rich insights into the city’s imperial past. (no admissions included). 

Tonight, conclude your journey with a special farewell dinner at the hotel, a perfect occasion to celebrate and cherish the memories made together. Overnight in Rome. (B, D)

Day 9 | Arrivederci Italy!

Breakfast at Hotel, check out of the hotel and transfer to Fiumicino airport for your flight home. After an unforgettable journey through the heart of Tuscany, with a taste of Rome and Venice, it's time to say Arrivederci, with a promise to return. And until next time, Tuscany will be waiting for you.
