Itinerary

Day 01, Friday: Arrival Rome

Welcome to Italy! After collecting your baggage, we transfer you to your hotel. Time to relax. Your package includes a welcome briefing to acclaimate you to Italy. Your evening is free to explore and dine on your own in Rome. Overnight in Rome.

Day 02, Saturday: Heart of Rome & Vatican

In the afternoon, meet your guide at the Vatican and visit Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. Our expert guide will be your docent as you pass through the vast Vatican collection. This Vatican tour will focus on the must-see and famous masterpieces of the Vatican, including the Sistine Chapel, the Raphael Rooms , Michelangelo’s Dome, Pinecone Courtyard , St. Peter’s Basilica, St. Peter’s Square . After visiting the Sistine Chapel you’ll enter what many consider a wonder of the world and the most magnificent church on earth - St Peter's Basilica, before ending in outside in the superb square designed by Bernini. Your evening is free to dine on your own. Overnight in Rome. (B)

Day 03, Sunday: Rome

Today will be free day at leisure. This tour has been designed to offer the best of each city visited combined with some free time to customize your travel experience as well as take your time to relax. We can offer optional touring today if you wish. Please let your agent know at time of booking. Overnight in Rome. (B)

Day 04, Monday: Rome - Naples - Sorrento

Makes your own way to the rail station in Rome and board your high speed train from Rome to Naples. On arrival you will have a private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of your day is free to explore Sorrento. (B)

Day 05, Tuesday - Pompeii

Today your adventure takes you to Pompeii, where you will enjoy a half-day guided visit. The most famous archaeological site in Italy is Pompei, destroyed by the eruption of the Vesuvius in 79 b.C. Visiting Pompei is an unforgettable experience: it was an important commercial center and today, nearly 2,000 years later, offer visitors the opportunity to see how a city was at the time, because the lava allowed to the city to holds up to us. Your visit will include Villa dei Misteri, built in the first half of the 1th century b.C., with its frescoes depicting the initiation to the Dionysian Mysteries. Return to Sorrento for overnight. (B)

Day 06, Wednesday: Amalfi Coast

Today you will explore the scenic beauty of the Amalfi Coast. Spend an unforgettable day discovering the unmatchable Amalfi Coast. During the day, we will visit Amalfi and Ravello. The first stop is the city of Amalfi. Thanks to its privileged position on the sea, it was an ancient Marithime Republic powerful and prosperous; nowadays the city is dominated by the imposing Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Andrew, which stands superbly on the top of a great flight of steps leading up from the main square. After the guided tour to introduce you to the history of one of the most beautiful town of Italy, you will have free time to explore Amalfi by your own, relax on the beach or joy an optional tour by boat sailing the Coast in the beautiful blue and green water of our Gulf. The city is also well known for being the home of the skilled production of handmade paper, in fact it hosts also a nice Paper Museum where they used to produce the “Bambagina”. During the journey to Ravello we will stop in a typical family restaurant in Scala for an optional lunch. The third stop will be the famous Ravello, full of historic, artistic, monumental and architectural treasures. In Ravello worth a visit to the famous Villa Rufolo, dating back to the second half of the 13th century. The villa inspired Richard Wagner to compose some verses of the Parsifal and hosted Boccaccio while writing the Decameron. Its gardens overlook the sea and from there the view in breathtaking. The entrance fees of the Villa is not included and should be paid on the spot. Return to Sorrento for overnight. (B)

Day 07, Thursday: Naples - U.S.

After breakfast, transfer to Naples Airport or Rail Station, where your tour ends. Return home with a promise to return.
