We will be updating the itinerary shortly. You may still join this tour, but note, Belfast, Derry and any NI touring will not be included. We will be adding new and exciting touring. Saturday (day 01) is the start date in Ireland. Note, with overnight flights, a FRIDAY flight would be needed, to meet the group on Day 01, Saturday at Dublin Airport. Note: Due to Covid restrictions in the UK, the itinerary has been modified for the final 2021 departure to accommodate the restrictions.

Day 01, Saturday: Arrive Ireland! Dublin - Galway

Morning arrival at Dublin Airport. Dublin Airport arrivals can avail of our transfer time of 9:45 am for departures to our Galway hotel. Panoramic tour of this great city before we check into our hotel. Galway is one of the brightest and most intriguing jewels of the West of Ireland. Full of culture, artistry and exceptional food and music. The city has wonderful, cobbled pedestrian streets that offer offbeat cafes and bars, colorful shops and engaging entertainment. A leisurely day to shake off your jet lag and experience wonderful Irish culture. Tonight, enjoy dinner at our hotel. Overnight Galway. (D)

Day 02, Sunday: Galway - Aran Islands - Galway

Today is a breathtaking day out to Inis Mór (Inishmore), meaning the big island, one of three islands of the famous Aran Islands. Your driver will take you to the ferry port in Rossaveel, approximately 23 miles from Galway. Here you will board a ferry for the 40-minute ride to Inis Mór. On arrival, you will be met by your private personal guide. You will be submerged in the island’s prehistoric ambiance as your expert guide gives you his personal insight. A stop the at the Kilmurvey Craft Village, located at the food of Dún Aonghasa, which contains an eclectic mix of Irish arts and craft shops. If time permits, a hike to the top of Dún Aonghasa is spectacular. Return to the ferry port, for your return trip back to Rossaveel, where your driver/guide will be waiting to take you back to Galway. Tonight, dinner is on your own. Overnight in Galway. (B)

Day 03, Monday: Galway - Connemara - Donegal

This morning, we bid farewell to Galway city, but enjoy some amazing touring before we make our way to Donegal. On route we tour the scenic and rugged region of Connemara before making a stop at Kylemore Abbey, an oasis in the wild Connemara countryside. We continue north, with a stop in Castlebar, a busy Market town for wee lunch break (on your own) before continuing north. Continue traveling the Wild Atlantic Way, to the small town of Ballybofey and our lovely hotel. Tonight, enjoy a lovely dinner at our hotel and wonderful Irish hospitality. Overnight Donegal. (B,D)

Day 04, Tuesday: Atlantic Coast - Glenties - Dungloe - Glenveagh

Today we travel via Glenties, a small village with several Irish craft stores. Continue on this scenic route from Maas to Gweebarra Bay and Dungloe on the Atlantic Coast. A day full of scenic beauty before stopping at Glenveagh Castle & Gardens in the National Park. Continue back to Ballybofey and our hotel where we enjoy dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Day 05, Wednesday: Donegal - Killybegs - Slieve League -Belleek - Sligo - Roscommon

We travel south along Donegal Bay to Killybegs and the Slieve League Cliffs. Here we enjoy a minibus transfer to the cliffs, where we delight in the scenic views of Malin Bay and the Slieve League Cliffs that look out across the Atlantic Ocean. Our tour continues south to Belleek, where we pause a while to visit the famed Belleek China showroom. Continue on southwest to scenic Rosses Point, overlooking Sligo Bay. After a photo op we continue southeast to our castle hotel, Kilronan Castle. Here we enjoy a fabulous dinner and overnight at the castle. (B,D)

Day 06, Thursday: Roscommon - Sligo - Roscommon

A leisurely departure from our castle hotel, we travel a short distance to the Arigna Mines, where we enjoy the unique Arigna Mining Experience. The surrounding natural scenery where the mine is located is striking. After touring the mine, we travel along scenic Lough Allen to Dromahair and the lake isle of Innisfree, immortalized by the poet William Butler Yeats. Continue on to the small village of Drumcliffe and the final resting place of W.B. Yeats, then onto Sligo Town, where you have free time to explore the history of the area, or perhaps visit the Yeats Library and Art gallery. This afternoon we travel the short journey back to our castle hotel so you can enjoy some free time and relax before dinner tonight. Overnight at Kilronan. (B,D)

Day 07, Friday: Roscommon - Cliffs of Moher - Adare - Killarney

Morning departure from Kilronan Castle. We travel south via the majestic Cliffs of Moher, where we pause and enjoy spectacular views. Continue along the western coastline, as we make our way to charming Killarney town via Lahinch and Adare. In Killarney, we enjoy dinner at our hotel this evening. Killarney is an excellent location to enjoy traditional music, pub entertainment or a traditional top-rated Irish Cabaret show (which can be pre-booked at the time of your reservation for $49 per person). Overnight in Killarney. (B,D)

Day 08, Saturday: Killarney - Ring of Kerry

We depart on one of Ireland's most popular and beautiful drives, the Ring of Kerry. Traveling from Killarney, we come to the town of Killorglin, famous for its traditional Puck Fair, and from here we commence the ring tour. Our drive is along the coastline of the broad Iveragh Peninsula, through the towns of Glenbeigh, Cahirciveen, Waterville, and Sneem. The scenery is spectacular as wind-swept cliffs, still lakes, lost valleys, and rocky mountains blend in awesome beauty before we circle back to Killarney for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Day 09, Sunday: Blarney - Cobh - Waterford

Depart Killarney, with a stop in Blarney, where we pause for optional visits to the Blarney Woollen Mills and Blarney Castle, perhaps to kiss the famed Blarney Stone. Leaving Blarney, we travel the short distance to Cobh (Queenstown), the last port of call for the Titanic. Leaving Cobh, we make our way to Waterford. In Waterford, we enjoy dinner and an overnight stay. (B,D)

Day 10, Monday: Waterford - Dublin

Morning brings a visit to the House of Waterford before making our way to Dublin via Kildare. An afternoon check-in to our Dublin hotel allows for time to relax before attending a traditional Irish cabaret and dinner show in Dublin. We return to our hotel at approximately 10:30 pm. Overnight in Dublin. (B,D)

Day 11, Tuesday: Dublin

On our morning sightseeing tour we visit EPIC, The Irish Emigration Museum. A fantastic interactive experience, which uncovers the dramatic and inspiring stories of the Irish who traveled the world, from early times to the modern day. Following our EPIC visit, we make our way to the Guinness Storehouse for a visit. Our afternoon is free to enjoy the capital city. Tonight, enjoy dinner on your own before the final overnight in Dublin. (B)

Day 12, Wednesday: Dublin - Tour ends

An early morning transfer takes you to Dublin Airport for the return flight home. Pick up your last-minute gifts at the duty-free shops before boarding your flight. You arrive home the same day. (B)

Unfortunately, due to the 2020 pandemic, Celtic Tours will only be offering airfare for groups sizes of 15 or more. Individuals should book directly with airlines. Your arrival flight must land by 9am for this tour. Please make sure you book your flight to arrive and depart on accurate dates. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Departures & Transfers

Departure date is the date the tour starts in Ireland. One would depart from the US. one day prior to the date noted to allow for overnight flights. The tour begins on Saturday.

Arrival transfers available from Dublin Airport at 9:45 am. (Flight should arrive on tour start date by 9:00 am to avail of this group transfer). Celtic Tours tracks flights booked with them to note delays and to ensure your transfer is not missed. If your flight time is later, please book a pre-night arrival to avoid missing the included transfer. Passengers book on earlier morning flights will have extended wait time at the airport.

If Celtic Tours does not book your air, you may avail of these free transfers, provided you submit your flight information within 35 days prior to departure and you are available 30 minutes prior to scheduled airport departure. Otherwise, transfers to the first hotel would be your responsibility. Transfer also available from Belfast International Airport up to 12:00 noon on tour start date. Tour ends for all passengers at 6:10 am at Dublin Airport.
