Guaranteed Departures

Please note, each departure requires a minimum number of participants to operate. Tours will be noted "guaranteed" when this number is reached. Please do not book airfare until you have been advised that the tour is guaranteed. Celtic Tours is not responsible for airfare booking on non-guaranteed tours that do not operate.

Smaller Group Tours

This tour is based on a maximum of 24 tour participants to maintain the level of comfort and intimacy on our tours that our customers have come to know and love. We have found this to be the perfect size for smaller groups, with no additional fees or small-group supplements passed on to the customer. Group leaders and travel advisors can look at booking a private departure on any one of our dates.  For those who want to tour privately, please contact our group department at [email protected] to find out more. When privately operating a tour, the tour leader/travel advisor can look for a larger coach-sized group. That is up to them and their group privately.

Hotel Change & Price Fluctuations

April 14, June 23 and July 07 departures will overnight at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis instead of Temple Gate.

Arrival Transfer

We have included one group transfer on arrival for this tour. We have scheduled this departure for 9:15 am. If all passengers are arriving on earlier flights we will adjust this time accordingly. If you are on a flight arriving after 9:15 am, we suggest considering a pre-night, so that you can easily meet the group transfer on the tour start date. Alternatively, if you arrive later, Celtic Tours can arrange Dubin to Westport rail service. If you opt for this, you would make your way to Dublin Heuston Station and board your pre-booked train. This is a direct rail service and the journey takes approximately 3h15m. On arrival in Westport, make your way to the hotel and check-in and meet your fellow group members and driver/guide at dinner at the hotel.

YOUR ITINERARY:

Wednesday (day 1) is the start date in Ireland. Note: with overnight flights, a TUESDAY flight would be needed, to meet the group on Day 01, Wednesday at Dublin Airport.

Day 1, Wednesday | Dublin - Waterford

Morning arrival at Dublin Airport. After clearing customs, collecting luggage and arrival of all international passengers booked by Celtic Tours, meet your professional Irish driver/guide in the arrivals hall. Make your way to our awaiting motorcoach to begin your adventure. We head southwest through the gentle countryside of County Kildare. Stop in Newbridge for a visit to the Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre and showroom, where you can browse Irish-designed tableware, jewelry, and gifts, and, if time allows, step into their small style or fashion exhibits. This makes a nice first pause after the flight, with a café on-site to, where you can grab a refreshment before we depart. We continue onto Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, following the River Suir as you approach. Once checked into your hotel, stretch your legs with a walk around the Viking Triangle, where narrow streets, medieval walls, and restored buildings give a sense of the city’s 1,000-plus years of history. In the evening, we enjoy dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Waterford. (D)

(*Flights arriving after transfer time will not be able to avail of the group transfer. In these instances, it is advised to book a pre-night stay so that you can avail of the group transfer.)
