Wales in Three Days
Planning vacations can be difficult when you have limited time available, especially when you want to visit another country. We often find that customers want to see it all, which we completely understand. Traveling to a new place is exciting, and it is often difficult to narrow sites down and create a list of must-sees that fit into the amount of time you have available. If you try to fit too much into your vacation, you may end up with excessive driving and limited time at each location. To prevent this, we have created an itinerary for those traveling to Wales with limited time.
Day 1

Start in Conwy, a historic town with a 13th- Century castle. Don’t let the size of this small-town fool you, it offers many attractions to please tourists. While in Conwy we recommend visiting Plas Mawr, a restored 16th – Century townhouse with ornate plasterwork, and fine furnishings. Here you are able to see how the wealthy merchant Robert Wynn lived and styled his Elizabethan House. After, stop at Penrhyn Castle, a 19th – Century Neo-Norman fantasy castle with an industrial railway museum, an array of old masters’ pictures, and 60 acres of grounds. Explore the grounds and find an exotic tree and shrub collection, as well as a Victorian walled garden.
Day 2

Day 3

Move inland to Wales’ ancient capital Machynlleth where Owain Glyndwr was crowned Prince of Wales in 1404 and briefly held the parliament. Explore the town’s shops and restaurants before continuing east to Powis Castle and Garden. This medieval castle rises dramatically above the garden, creating a stunning view. Explore the amazing collection of art throughout and learn the intriguing story of each piece.
