1. Portmarnock Beach

The next beach we explore is Carrickfinn Beach. Instead of golden sand, this boasts white sand, both of which are extremely beautiful. This is located on the upper westside of Ireland. From this beach you may see Donegal Airport! The gorgeous beach is full of flowers in the spring and summer months.
Staying on the west coast, next we venture to Streedagh Beach with views of the Sligo coastline. The relaxing beach is known for being a calm place to swim and paddle. From here you will also have Table Mountain views.
4. Keem Beach
Keem Beach is next. This unique beach is also on the west coast. It is horseshoe shaped with bright, turquoise waters. Unforgettable for photos from near and far.
Heading south, if you love the turquoise water at Keem Beach, you’ll be able to find more of it at Gurteen Beach. Located on the central, west coast of Ireland, this beach is known for its clear water, white sand, plus the stunning seashells to collect among it!
6. Derrynane Beach
Chances are if you’re headed to Ireland, you’re interested in seeing the Ring of Kerry. Well you’re in luck because there is also a beach there. Derrynane Beach is on the southern border of Ireland. This is considered to be one of the most beautiful and cleanest beaches in the world. Here you may surf, canoe, water ski, sail and more.
7. Barley Cove Beach
This southern Ireland beach boasts golden sand along the southern coast of Ireland. From the beach you will have stunning views of the Mizen Peninsula.
8. Silver Strand Beach
This southern beach also boasts a horseshoe shape like an earlier beach we mentioned. It’s a unique beach to access as one must descent 174 steps to access this site down a cliff. Once you arrive you may snorkel, dive or swim here. At this beach you will view mountains all around.
9. Bunmahon Beach
As we head to Bunmahon Beach, we make our way back toward Dublin to east coast of Ireland. If you loved the mountains at the previous beach, then you’ll also love this one. This beach is surrounded by dunes and sea cliffs you won’t want to miss.
10. Curracloe Beach
Our last stop is Curracloe Beach. Saving Private Ryan was filmed here. This is Ireland’s longest beach stretching 7 miles. It’s perfect for a long stroll or workout. This beach is located about 2 hours outside of Dublin. From here you could stay at a Dublin hotel, Waterford or Kilkenny property.
Remember, this is a long trip mapped out along the entire circumference of Ireland. Whether you’re looking to make a long or short beach Ireland tour, Celtic Tour has you covered. We can book a self-drive tour or private group trip just like this, you won’t forget.
